Near Ayagaurus in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana you will find the Gambruesa dam. With a height of about 330 meters, this dam offers an incredible view on both sides. On one side you can see the lake and the mountains, on the other you can see the valley. The dam was built in 1971 and has a height of 54 meters with a length of 152 meters. There are many walking routes around the lake.

In 2015 the plane was repainted in the colors of Binter Canarias. Binter Canarias is a local airline company that connects the Canary Islands.
