The day started with excitement as we prepared for another adventure with ExploGC Explore Gran Canaria. Our plan was simple but filled with opportunities to capture the essence of Playa del Inglés and Meloneras. The highlight? A ride on the iconic Mini Train, a visit to the vibrant market, and an evening stroll near the famous Faro Maspalomas.

A Nostalgic Ride on the Mini Train

With cameras ready, we hopped aboard the Mini Train in Playa del Inglés. Built in 1973 and running since 1975, this charming little train has become part of the town’s soul. As we rolled through the streets, the gentle breeze carried the scent of the ocean, and tourists waved as we passed.

Filming from the train offered a unique perspective—colorful hotels, lively streets, and the golden dunes peeking in the distance. We captured families enjoying their vacations, street performers entertaining the crowds, and the relaxed atmosphere that makes Playa del Inglés so special.

Market Treasures and Local Finds

Next, we made our way to the Playa del Inglés market, a bustling spot where locals and tourists come together to find unique souvenirs, fresh produce, and artisanal goods. Miranda was on a mission—she wanted something special to remember the day.

After browsing through stalls filled with handmade jewelry, Canarian spices, and local crafts, she found the perfect pink bag. It had a simple yet stylish design, ideal for casual island outings. But the shopping didn’t stop there—Gran Canaria is famous for its Aloe Vera products, and Miranda picked up a bottle of Pure Aloe Vera 99% along with a facial cream, both known for their soothing and healing properties.

The market was full of life—vendors calling out their best deals, the scent of freshly baked churros in the air, and musicians playing cheerful tunes. We filmed it all, capturing the vibrant atmosphere that makes this market a must-visit.

A Magical Night in Meloneras

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we decided to end the day in Meloneras, one of the most beautiful and upscale areas of Gran Canaria. The evening was perfect—warm with a gentle sea breeze. We strolled along the promenade, the golden lights of beachfront restaurants reflecting on the water.

Finally, we found the perfect spot near Faro Maspalomas, the island’s most famous lighthouse. Sitting on the seawall, we took in the view—the waves lapping against the shore, the soft glow of the lighthouse, and the peaceful sound of the ocean. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with adventure, discovery, and unforgettable moments.

As we sat there, reviewing the footage from the day, we knew we had captured something special—Playa del Inglés through the eyes of ExploGC. Another successful filming day, another memory to share with the world.
